One problem not aired much is surge caused by the chargers near housing. This surge can destroy your household electronics. I now have a large antisurge system incorporated in the consumer unit. These consumer units are now required if wiring any house.
I am pleased with my new unit which cost near 300 pounds at wholesale cost . Also has earth leakage protection on every individual circuit rather than the old type which would share an earth leakage device with 5 or 6 circuits.
