Jaguar will have folded in 2 years. No longer making any petrol cars now and will only make battery cars with no hybrids. Not many makers making EVs now as they dont sell unless sold at under cost price.
The new Jaguar battery production centre to be built using Government funding will get built and it will be sold to Amazon before producing any batteries so Amazon get a discounted warehouse unit. Most of the derelict EVs have been moved out of the Exeter cattle market.
I have seen Chinese branded EVs in the Mercedes main dealer. They covered the glass so no one can see from outside but go inside, they have a white false wall and you can just walk in and there they are with price tags and offers. No signs at all in the showroom until you go into the corner area. They are the Chinese brands main outlet for ORA cars. Little cars, well equipped but not much range. About 100 miles unless you need all the lights, heater and wipers on then it will be 60 miles.
Hybrids do work very well with no need to charge and capturing energy on downhill and braking resulting in 62 MPG on a commuter run to Exeter and back in quite heavy traffic. Heavy traffic is where they work best as on the motorway, its petrol only so 52 mpg on 400 mile drives. That is good for a 2 litre as My Brothers 1 litre car will only manage 50 mpg at the motorway speeds. However, his petrol only car is now 10 years old and cost 8000 pounds new and is still worth 7000 pounds. Mine will lose 20,000 pounds in 3 years and have no value at 10 years as the battery will be finished
