Your Volvo must be seen as low cost and i expect better than most. We had a buyer from London buy a restored VW Beetle and drove it back near 200 miles.
Usual rules apply on a sale, no test drive on his own, cash sale only although you might trust a telephone payment. I always sell cash and buy cash in bank notes.
No doubt the Volvo will drive home reliably but if its a bank transaction and it breaks, he might get the money back.
I have found most people are honest especially when coming from a distance.
He must be a serious buyer to come down by train as he now has only one way back in your car.
