Sidmouth has a collapse most years as do most cliffs on the Jurassic coast. Wise people dont buy the clifftop houses or the ones in the flood plains.
The new docks development will soon be reclaimed by the sea. It does have new concrete walls around it now but soon that wall will be the new moat wall when the water goes over it.
My house is on the old cliff that was in the 1700s before they reclaimed a huge part of the estuary. Now that reclaimed land is under threat. The water cannot reach me as i am 30 foot above high tide.
