A section of my local B road was resurfaced last Friday. It has had problems with flash floods & standing water ever since the farmer grubbed out a hedge and ploughed a field that was previously a grazing.
Anyway, when they re-surfaced it they discovered the drains were broken. So with breathtaking efficiency they decided to complete the resurfacing, boasting the job was successfully completed on schedule, but simultaneously announced they would return this Tuesday to dig up & repair the drains.
