I have always been a single cylinder nut fortunate never had any troubles on long runs aways holidays in Devon and Cornwall never had any troubles and then the bikes were second hand.
Did drop a valve on the newly opened MI on my 350 17m AJS on the way to the TT from London got it repaired in Northampton. after dismantling it by the roadside.
I've done well over 200 000 miles on the Ariel
Sadly no more
