I prefer cotton next to my skin & have always been disappointed with so-called wicking technology fibres.
The makers/sellers have never answered when I've asked what happens to the moisture once it gets to the outside of the fabric (if it ever does).
Same with wicking & "waterproof" jackets.
Borrowed a big name, silver one piece once that certainly kept the rain out, but meanwhile I broiled in my own juices inside.
Gloves with heating elements for the backs of fingers seem like a good idea - heated grips don't help with that area & muffs/handshields won't fit on the Sprint.
