I have seen so many people panic if they mislay a phone. They show real fear that its lost.
Not seen anyone around here stop in a pub on the way home from work. Not in any employment i have been in, they all just go home for Evening meals and the ones using pubs early in the Evening tended to be the unemployed or sick.
There was a local pub called the Builders arms which, when building the town in the 1800s had builders drinking after work. More recently it went to live music before shutting forever. On the market now at 250,000 pounds for demolition but no one will want to live next to the shopping car park with no parking for the houses unless you pay for an annual ticket.
I know one of my Grandfathers did used to go to a pub and then come home and beat his wife and children. One reason my Mother only visited with me 3 times when her Mother was ill. One of his Sons is in a home now and when i visit, he always makes a point of hating his Father .
Looking at my Grandchildren, none of them can cope if their phone is not with them.
