Did the rear end, new chain, sprockets, brakes, tire, trueing the wheel, all good although we'll see how the rear shocks do in the real world.
Now on the front. Removed the front fork; head and wheel bearings are good, brake shoes look like they've never been used, mounted new tire and tube.
Bought new fork boots and oil seals. But discovered that the fork tubes are bent; each one has about .200" runout, a little less than 1/4", as determined with a pair of rollers and a dial indicator. Obviously hit something albeit fairly lightly at some point.
New or good used tubes are expensive, so for the price of sending them out, or buying two more, I've ordered a 12-ton shop press and a pair of iron V-blocks and will straighten them myself, AND have a shop press for the future.....
