A simple bike cover is also a great deterrent

Not sure how much of an actual deterrent a cover is, but I have been using one for a few years now on the basis that it couldn't really do any harm & would keep the bike dry if it rained overnight.

I have a couple of Aldi / Lidl motorcycle covers that seemed to come on sale regularly a few years ago, though not so often recently. These pack up to around the size of a soft drink can, so are not too difficult to find a corner for.

I use an Abus D lcok on the drum braked MZ, a chunky Oxford disc lock on the disc braked bikes & park opposite the main Reception entrance at the Premier Inns I have stayed at, in direct view of the CCTV cameras & usually under lighting.
