Starbucks on our West Coast had a huge problem a few years ago. They, of course, had to be tolerant and inclusive and non-judgmental, so they had a policy that anyone could use their toilets.

So street bums started camping in the Starbucks, the staff could hardly keep up with the trash, dirt, used needles in the loos; a hobo could have a warm place to stay by spending $4 on a black coffee then sleeping all day at a table.

It took lawsuits and a lot of bad press to reverse that policy ....
