Not long ago.
Got a dirty look and a horn blast from a driver when crossing a side road, using my walking stick.
Being a cantankerous old sod, I stopped & dropped my stick. It took me ages to bend down enough to pick it up & then I was stuck getting back up (sounds familiar?).
Driver got out to shout at me, so I got my phone out and said I was recording the interview.
Q. "Do you know what the law says about pedestrian priority?"
A. "It says you should look both ways."
Q. "Do you know about MSM?"
A. "What's that FFS?"
Q. "Perhaps you know it as Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre?"
A. "I did that, you twat."
Q. "But did you do it in the right order?"
A. "FFS what do you mean?"
Q. "Did you brake and start steering before signalling?"
A. "What's wrong with that?"

A that point, a rare thing happened, A Police car appeared & a PCSO got out seeing me still on one knee in the road.
She called for a RPU to come and listened to my recording while we waited.
"Hello, Pete!" the RPU Officer said to the driver, "what's going on here?"
"FFS", said Pete.
It turns out Pete was on Police bail for 2 counts of speeding on the same day & positive tests for cocaine and weed on another day.
I was asked to leave, before another test was done, but I did see a recovery truck arriving when I was walking back home 1/2 hr later.
