£6.80 for a rubbish pint in the posh-ish eatery by me. £4.20 for a decent pint in the trad, cash only little pub in a side street.

I expect the gym might be cheaper. Listening to R4 the other week a gym chain manager was explaining how they are still expanding on the back of gen z who, apparently, like to socialise at the gym. Beats me why it's such fun but I notice that the streets round here in student land are filled with people going to and from the gym at all hours. Judging by what they wear they don't feel the cold at all but then again the young never have!
