If you go online & look at the breakdown of the price of a pint, it's interesting.
In my village I am lucky enough to have a good pub, an average one, & a club. Don't use them nearly as often as I like due to the cost.
The regular exception every few weeks is a family meet up with children & grandchildren. Two reasons - they would not all fit into the small bungalow. And since I became a widower a couple of years back the rooms have mysteriously filled with odd bits of motorcycles, tools & airguns. Plus the cats don't generally like strangers
