I had met up with Mike once at his house when Sara was there on a Ducati in about 2009 and we were on the R111, and later in 2011 both times with my wife and we had a great natter about anything. The second visit Maureen chatted with my wife in the garden. I had also met Mike quite a few times at the NEC shows and the National motorcycle museum where he had an annual ticket. Mike was always having a good laugh at things in general and also, when building the 5TA, was asking a lot of questions at the NEC show to get perfection.
Not long ago, he said he was hoping to have a good song played at his funeral, so, just in case he had not told his family, it is this song on youtube.
