Nigel, I'd be surprised if it's done 1000 miles in the last year. In contrast my 18S did 450 miles in three mid-winter months and was out most weeks. Sadly, I finally lost faith in its restorer probably at the same time as I ironed out the final irritations. Oh well.

The V Strom is superb but utterly soulless and does nothing for me at all. But it has two purposes: to tour with a mate, an annual Welsh tradition, and as a nice pillion perch for my wife. If not for that it would be gone already and I'd just have an old Brit.

What comes next on the 'interesting' bike front remains to be seen.
