Somewhat suprised to find one in the UK (most were sold in Europe - Germany & Netherlands especially) in such good original condition that hasn't been "customised" or "cafe-racered" - a fate that befalls too many Guzzis. I know mine was sold to a Dutch dealer by Carnells where I had p/xed it & the DVLA records show it a "permenantly exported" or some such.
An un-molested Mille GT should have 30mm round slide accelerator pump Dellorto carbs - they also had small valves & were in a very low state of tune compared to Le Mans of the same period. IIRC they were rated at about 65 hp, which isn't that much for a litre twin. Big upside is the low to mid range torque, which makes for a delightful ride and very good economy (mine averaged mid-60s, but I did get over 80 mpg one one tankful, searching for fuel on a Sunday in the former DDR). Hopefully it also has the original linked brake system in un-molested form, which I found to work exceptionally well.
I have an original brochure that I got at the time I bought mine if you would like a scan of it.
One to hang onto there - hope you gel with it.
Nigel B.
