As so often in recent years, Guzzi have looked at BMW and thought, "We can make a mint too with bikes that no-one will ever be able to touch themselves."

This was why my 2008 Stelvio didn't last - great ride but the random oil light for 30 miles and the complexity of the LCD screen just seemed like asking for expensive trouble. Apparently they can go black in direct sunlight. Obviously they are a million pounds to replace if necessary. That's half the appeal of the Mille - relatively simple tech understandable by an idiot like me.
