The refrain of "while old Japs are increasing in value" is more hope than reality.
Some are indeed holding their values while many/most don't, simply because the concept of restoring/rebuilding/working on old bikes is being lost very rapidly, made worse with the expense/non-availability of parts.
Why would anyone spend time and money owning some 30 year old Jap mundanity when it wasn't liked much even when new?
