No didn't watch as most of what I have seen was crap..Might be of interest I do remember VE day I wasn't allowed to go to the street party so watched from my bedroom window me brother had decorated the front of the house with a huge V with flashing coloured lights and in the front garden an old aircraft landing lamp that had a colour changing device on it lighting the house frontage
I was allowed next day to go and see the huge hole that was burnt in the road by the bonfire they had.
I think now the reason I wasn't allowed was Dad died a couple of years before
