I run 3 road legal motorbikes. The 125's tax was due - notified by a V11 letter, rather than the emailed reminder I usually get.
So went online to check I still have VED reminders. Which I've previously been getting without issues for several years.
I was asked to open a gov.uk digital a/c in order to do this. Jumped through the hoops, giving my driving license details & year I moved into my home years back.
This wasn't good enough. I was required to download & print a form, & and take it to a main post office with my driving license by the end of the month to 'verify'.
The form printed off to present to the PO has a QR code on for them to scan - took several attempts & resizing the download to print the part with the QR code in full.
Down to the PO. Licence scanned, my photo taken, submitted to DVLA. Nothing heard back so far.
