As you say, nice to see it being used. Very rare to see older Brits round here, unless there is a show on at the Three Counties. One exception, a Velo I see going through the village every couple of days. Do see quite a few '70's Japanese & Italian bikes about.
Things move on, I suppose. There was a young lad asking me about the 2000 Blackbird the other day. Guess it was like me, back in the '70's, looking at a bike from the '50's.
I was looking at YouTube stuff on the ZX-9R. 'Old superbikes are scary AF - the ZX9R is TERRIFYING!' There was a youngish tester amazed at how well the bike performed. Carburettors - what are they? He also didn't seem to comprehend that you could ride a powerful bike without all the electronic aids available nowadays, without killing yourself.
Kids today, eh?
