Yes, with petrol prices low at the moment it is more expensive to charge a car than to run one on petrol. When we have a lot more electric cars, the companies can cut down your charge by smart meter so you might get to go out and find the battery is low.
I always preferred diesel and had them for over 20 years until forced into petrol engined cars but got used to them now but needing 2 litre petrol to get the power of a diesel.
Apparently, the worst electric car is the VW I.D3 for problems. Jaguar had problems with most and refunded a lot of owners who just could not get to chargers and had to use recovery.
Meanwhile, my boys and Grandsons are still buying diesels and 3 and 5 litre petrol cars for their hobby cars. One just bought a 3 litre V6 BMW with 300bhp. The boy with the Corvette 5.4 litre engine has about 400 BHP. They are scary cars.
