The EV future has failed here but mostly due to lack of chargers and weather in Winter which limits range a lot. What i do see is most owners of Tesla brand are youngish and small Ev owners are elderly. Of course, our electricity is the highest cost in the World now so no advantage having a battery car unless you already have a large solar array and battery storage. Of course, the solar and battery system will be about 20k so not a good idea at all.
Latest farce is air source heat pumps for domestic heating. 20K to install and the people who know, suggest it is not as economical as gas heating. Not very good at all in our old brick built 1900 houses.
