I decided a while back to not work on bikes anymore apart from servicing. As I mentioned in an earlier post my rear brake failed while I was riding at Donnington on my VFR race bike. Decided to order a rear master cylinder rebuild kit then rebuilt it but couldn't get it to work so stripped it again to make sure I had put it back together properly. After wasting too much time I decided to buy a new one which arrived yesterday. All fitted and same problem. Today I have been in my garage for 5 hours using lots of swear words and vowing never to work on a bike again I have blown my airline through the system but still nothing. I took the caliper off and checked that all ok. I then for the fourth time disconnected the hydrolic pipe were it goes into the caliper. Then hey presto it started to work. Cant believe that an airlock could be so hard to get out of a simple braking system. I need a well earnt beer and some blood pressure pills .Bikes are like women so bloody moody with a mind of there own!!!!!
