Frustrated by this.

Do it online, OK, but you have to use the Govt "App" on a smartphone or tablet to prove your identity.

Spent ages trying to get it to work, no chance it refuses to verify my identity.

Only other option is to do it via a post office that will renew a photo ID licence, nearest one is 15 miles away, so a 30 mile round trip to renew it.

FFS what happened to renewing things via post, as for the Govt "App" I deleted the "profile" I tried to create and deleted it off my phone, as I have a dislike of "Apps" for everything.

Oh yes and it costs more to renew at a post office.
