When i had 2 stroke bikes 50 years ago, i used to use BP visco static 20/50 car oil as a oil. That was put in separate tank on oil injected ones . On my 2 stroke car, i used SAE30 which was 50p a gallon. It worked very well but plenty of smoke.
The old 2 stroke boat engines ran a 10 to 1 mix but with synthetic, they could be run on 20 to 1. Just bronze bearings in those engines so needed a good oil film. None of those engines had any problems but they coked up a bit so a decoke each year
