In the early sixties, the chap who ran the machine shop at work was a two stroke fanatic. He had a Scott as a young man, and ran a DKW three cylinder car at the time.
I used to have a bit of banter with him , saying two strokes were lawnmower engines. His reply being, mark my words, one day the two stroke will reign supreme in racing, as it turned out he was correct.
Personally I have always been into four strokes, having had a couple of desmos, among others along the way.
