Excellent day out. brought an old mate Graham and Steve the boy and met up with Jerry ,the old Mod, and Andy.
Explaining the scalpel robbers to Graham, he showed me a 4 inch cut down the front of his heavy duty coat and the layers were very thick so they failed but did cut right through. His attempted robbery involved 3 men so we made damn sure our money was out of reach.
On the way back, Steve was chatting to graham about the old bikes he builds. That led to going to see his bikes and Steve then bought a 1966 BSA Spitfire with 13,000 miles on an ex USA bike. Just as it came from the factory and still with a fibreglass tank. The 350 Gold star in the garage was a but too cramped for the boy so left that one.
Graham builds show winning bikes just as a hobby to sell. It should run well when he picks the bike up.
