They are really hammering cars for road tax very soon. I expect there will be a tax attack on diesels as well.
One of the recent insurance little details now is, they will not pay out on a car that has an electrical fire. So, that means hard luck when your EV ignites but they will normally pay on a petrol car as it might be petrol igniting it.
I liked diesel cars as in an accident, they do not normally catch fire so i was safer. t least my petrol car has a small capacity tank and fills up at 35litres.
