what happened to british workmanship ??
the housing Assoc I am with recently did repairs / upgrades and minimal paint and decorations on the assistive living bungallow I now have
one of there top bods came out and inspected the work and signed to say that the property was in satisfactory order
there are several problems , the shower (electric) is a cute 1960 s hearing aid baige colour , this dribbles when turned off and give a lovelly luke warm minimal amount of water , ie its crap
most of the doors have been bodged with stick on draft excluder strips that have had multiple layers of paint on them , and rubber has disolved with age , the best tho is this door ,behind it is a brick vestibule about 4 ft square , at the other end is a very badly fitted doiuble glazed door , I think if I had a fire , smoke alarms would not be needed , people would just see smoke billowing out , look at. this pic , the door is closed , no laughing at the back , maybe we should take doors off , place in water to swell them , the other thing is , the door cannot fully open , the radiator is in the way
