I wonder if we will get the panic buying again. I just fill the car up when it needs it but that does for 1 Month unless a long journey planned. I suppose if i got stuck for petrol, i have about 8 gallons in the 2 Triumph tanks to draw from.
Locally, there is plenty of fuel and no panic yet and 1.39 a litre petrol with diesel about 1.60
I find that after 25 years of 50mpg diesels, that the new petrol engines do more mpg than the diesels.
Unfortunately, the Volvo V40 2 litre uses 37mpg average over the time i had it but i expect i will get another this year just for the reliability and superb comfort but Mazda is on the short list and maybe a Cupra Leon.
