On the other hand, all parts are replaceable and easy to get new. In theory you could keep one going forever. Compare that to new cars with a 7 year life.
Same can be said of 2CV's; replacement parts are often better than original,such as galvanised chassis; you can remove main body and send it to a place that will out out all the rust, rust proof and paint it. Such a simple design it can be easily uprated on many systems.
If only Morris 1000 and 2cv were the only cars you could buy roads would be a lot safer I reckon
