correct , they will get the payment for fitting the meter from the goverment , or rather not be fined for not getting the quota
if there is no signal , you are back at square one , and having to manually read and ring/web readings in

since they stopped meter readers theu have not lowered the daily standing charge

if they fit the crap and it dosnt send readings, just tell them you have gone blind and come and read thte own meters
