Harry Ramsden is always expensive. There is a very popular award winning chippie in Exmouth but i dont buy there as it costs a lot more for less food.
I suppose we have about 6 fish and chip shops trading now but one is about to close down soon. That shop was bought by the company charging the highest amount and he raised prices so customers went elsewhere. Shame as it had been trading well for 30 years but lasted just a few months in new ownership.
Trawlers have all left Exmouth now and gone to Brixham partly due to shifting sands and the entrance to the dock is limited at low tides.
Local crab at Ladram bay and Budliegh Salterton.
Of course, on the area just into the river Exe, there are millions of cockles to collect free and also a lot of mussell farms.
