I had a 10 yard ride on a scooter Today. Damn thing had a fault and it turned out it went a bit too fast and the drive belt stretched over the top of the centrifugal variator and jammed before snapping. Brand new belt a few days ago so put the old one back on. This was a repair out on a public road so took a tool kit and foam pads to lay the scoot down.
Its a quick job once you have worked on these scoots a few times. Fitted lighter 5.5 gram rollers to replace the 6 gram ones so it has 3 grams less to push out the variator.
