I did a few laps of the course when it was all set up with signs and barriers on my R111 in 2009. At considerably slower speed although the locals came out in the Evening and did some very fast riding.
Lovely Island to do a bike tour with plenty of places to explore. In one church there is a very large collection of Celtic crosses.
Of course, they do have cod and chips but the Bolognese in the Italian at Laxey was better.
Petrol is more costly but you will not use much at normal road speeds.
I did meet up with the late Geoff Staples briefly before he was going to another Doctor visit for heart trouble.
I wonder where his bikes went which included a Trident in parts boxes and a nice DAX Honda and a Hinckly triple
