Did an oil change and replaced silencers this week so out for a quick ride and all went well. A short burst at 90 mph. Using fully synthetic in the engine and gearbox this time around. Noise of the tulip pipes is music at 70 mph
Took my Chrome Indian made T120 petrol tank down the boys garage and a quick weld. I used to weld his cars now he is far better so he now welds a few bits for me. Its tricky welding a thin metal tank and worse when it is nickel and chrome covered.
Managed to do it with no discolouration of the chrome. Clever 50 year old now.
He is busy this week wax oiling new Chinese cars that are sold in Exeter but have no rust treatment.
Bought in 10 gallons of wax to go in the spray gun. These are brand new cars ! Its a good earner as just wax and plastic sheet to protect the floor covering in the garage.
Meanwhile, a local 10 year old MG needed a new ECU unit. A mere 3000 pounds at another local garage.
Work for traders with skills is plentiful here and Nephews work until about 8 pm each day. One of them is booked for work for a few Months so turning it away.
Its a great place to be young and get trade trained at the moment and 50k is easily earned when qualified.
