Back in 1960 I was riding along the Purley way after visiting my Auntie in Caterham on my BSA B31. It started to make a strange rattling noise every time I slowed down but as I went faster it went away so kept the speed up. It wasn't until I got to the roundabout that I found out what the rattle was. It was the police cars bell and I had just got my license back after a 3 month ban. Lucky those good days I just got a good bollocking from the cops and a warning. Phew if my dad had found out I think my bike would have been taken away as he signed the HP papers. Happy Daze.
