We can still learn Den. WD40 is to be avoided on bikes as it is a water displacer and not a real lubricant. Hinckley Triumph were issuing a statement that if you use WD40 on chrome, it will be permanently damaged.
I dont have any WD40 as we were not allowed to use it at work. It would also ruin expensive ASSA locks.To protect these locks, ASSA had their own lubricant which seemed very dry and would dry and leave no trace. More of a lock cleaner. Those buildings would have had 20,000 locks at a guess
