Up bright and early to do some work on my garden cabin - the guttering needed attention, needed to get it done early before the sun started beating down again. Rain is forecast for tomorrow so made sense to do it.

Then off to a Barbecue at 1, a couple of burgers washed down with a pint of weak but very cold lager.

A little later out on the H2 for a 40 miler, lovely cool breeze, quiet roads, only spoilt a bit by some gusty winds.

Feet up now for half an hour before a bit more DIY, then evening meal a glass of beer and some TV.

Not a bad day, best thing is that wearying heat has dissipated for a while, and the prospect of some overnight / early morning rain.
