I notice Today a lot of families with head coverings and mats out enjoying the Moor but they were just having a good family outing. Not seen this before but they must live locally now.
With bikes Today, the traffic in the lanes is compounded by no reverse gears and groups of 4 cars meeting other groups of 4 cars and maybe only one small gap in the hedge to pull into.
No activity around Ann Widdecombes house so the nosey lookers have all gone now.
One of my favourite places to explore for most of my life and i walked to find a lot of the old Dartmoor letter boxes. North Moor at Okehampton is the desolate area with few tourists. It can be almost silent up there.
Haytor is the most popular with Grockles and just beyond is a water filled quarry with discarded goldfish put there when a few people disposed of some. Stone railway lines still there.
