I stopped in 1972 & never saw anything of that nature, but I'd only done 2 years.
2013 I decide to have another go before I got too old & did a track weekend at Mallory. Some idiots complained about me sitting upright (bad back) but I think it was because I was faster than them. One Dork tried bullying a 19 yr old girl on a pre-unit Triumph 500 on her first time on track (family became friends that weekend) so I shielded her until she settled down. The Clown then tried to bully me & ended up grass tracking at Gerards. He was asked to leave the circuit.
I did the track clear check at my old circuit, Oulton Park with the kids in the car and the tyres howling & had done Snetterton & Silverstone in my Midget with the Triumph Sports6 club, but was black flagged twice for going too fast and passing club members. Midget was tuned to mid-60s BMC endurance race spec. Silverstone was a bit boring to be honest as I was near flat out (100ish) almost everywhere.
