Effort might be better spent on driver education rather than reducing speed limits as well harsher sentencing for road traffic offences.

I don't mean just being banned from driving, I mean something that will cause the offender real pain / hardship.

Like destroying their vehicle even it is subject to an HP agreement, offenders need to feel the pain.

They should do the same with Mobile phone driving offences - take the phone away and destroy, imagine how much hassle that would cause someone.

Taking away someone's licence wont stop them driving, but if they know they are going to suffer financially it might make them think twice.
