Virtually all dealers will collect or loan a courtesy car if you book in advance.
My Toyota will need an MOT in a couple of Months.
Its interesting looking up your old cars to see if they have passed long after being sold on. The Vauxhall Astra diesel i bought in 2011 now has 168,000 miles and does 20,000 between MOTs. In the last 10 years it has passed with no work so the owner must be doing good maintenance.
Some of my previous cars have failed on broken lights, bald tyres and worn steering etc.
My last Volvo has only done around 3000 miles a year as it was bought by an older driver.
I have looked up all the cars i have owned since 1996 but some have now died and a previous Volvo must have had a number plate changed as it appears to not exist now.
Citroen and Peugeot 2 litre cars seem to have lasted longest but now overtaken by the Vauxhall.
The BMW diesel also lasted to a high mileage but that has since died. People buy these 2 litre diesels for longer mileage commutes which they do very well and most will do 50 mpg at motorway speed limit
