In my early 20's I inherited a garage from my Grandad, an old asbestos sheeted one.

The Council dust cart managed to reverse into it, wrecking most of the asbestos sheets and the metal frame.

My Triumph Toledo was parked inside the garage at the time and as a result needed bodywork doing.

The council insurers had a nice bill.

At least the driver had the balls to admit to it and the insurers paid up.

Never did buy a new garage though, and after all these years the hardstanding is still there.
