When the 59 club started to make the news it was Father Bill Shergold that go most of the press publicity mainly for doing a bike blessing at his church which made most of the papers in 1963.
The other vicar who ran the club is least known as the press hardly mentioned him. He was Father Graham Hallett and really put a lot of effort in making sure the club ran well organising many bike runs and events. Father Bill in the front

Many years ago one of the old Chelsea Bridge boys decided to see if he could raise some money as a thank you the Graham and many old rockers chipped in and the money raised went towards getting him now retired a new Royal Enfield which just goes to show how much all us old rocker admired him.
He was very shocked and totally surprised when he was given he new bike. Just shows that all the nasty ton up boys were really lovely people and just wanted to give something back to a top man.
RIP Father Hullett.
So glad I had the the chance to enjoy my time in the good old 60's. Happy Daze.
