at my old housing assoc flat they replaced the consumer unit for a latest spec one , they added smoke AND heat detectors in kitchen (very small) , updated the detector in the hallway and added some more in the living room at night there were leds flashing for england

I had just had a disabled wetroom fitted , and had to wear a pendent around my kneck in case of fall , the "multiple" alarms they fitted would be set off by the shower steam /heat , closing the bathroom door was not an option , if I fell and pressed pendent , they would talk back to me on a unit in the living room

after multiple visits by h/a electricials , and social services , we came to an agreement , most of the flashing leds went in a bin
