They certainly will not consider old local clubs, only National ones. I might just join any club that has the lowest membership cost. Maybe the Vespa club or Mobylette.
All they want is a club name that exists. I dont see how it can make you a safer rider. I usually explain that it is more likely to have an accident when out with a group of riders and thats why i ride alone mostly. Just twice a year with a group of old bikes
