I can't really see what's happening to be afraid of if you're not buried in cyber world, which I'm not.

"AI" is being attached to everything for the "cool" factor for anything that has a computer.

It's mainly being used to "pump and dump" IPO stocks to make fortunes from getting subsidies for data centers.

Fake looking CGI and mashups of "facts" are being touted as the result of "intelligence".

Looks like a silly scam to me, like the COVID hysteria or "THE SKY IS FALLING" climate scams.

I understand why the oligarchs are peddling panic, though. Like everything else, Follow the Money.
